My Story
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Kate; and, I am excited to share with you, my story...
I am 37 years old, the mother to two lovely young ladies, and I live in northern Colorado. I moved here from the East Coast in 2005, with my husband, and we fell in love with the beautiful landscape and mountains. It did not take long for us to become determined to make this place our home!
Having moved around quite a bit in my lifetime (whether as a child with my dad being an AF Pilot or as an adult through adventures and my husband's work ...), I pride myself on making each new destination a home; and, one key element in doing so is through the wonderful scents and aromas that fill it. Keeping MY home inviting with familiar and comforting scents helps me in evoking memories -- something that is very important to me and my children. It has become so important because, I live away from all of my family. I like us to feel connected through the memories we think on day to day -- it honestly helps to build stronger bonds through the many phone calls, cards, and social media connections my family and I end up making when reminiscing!!
I cook and bake from scratch almost daily which, truly helps with keeping my home smelling amazing; but, I have to admit I have spent a large amount of money throughout my life on in-home tarts, candles, and more for those times when I am not.
It had become exhausting always trying to find decent pricing for these things without sacrificing the scent-life paid for...and trust me, I love a bargain. However, more-often-than-not, I found myself inside some heavily, expensive name-brand store trying to figure out how to get the best bang for my buck. While I was shopping, I knew in the back of my mind, that the tarts and candles I would end up buying were not going to permeate throughout my home for more than a few days. Not because I believe the product should have a seven-to-eight day life span necessarily; but more so, I believe, I should not have to pay upwards of $5 for one small tart -- that will last only two days...
Fast forward through years of hunting for long-lasting products, I was introduced to Scentsy in 2017 only via a catalog ... and the very next day I signed up. This is true. I had not even tried the product but, had decided immediately that with the varied product lines (and the fact that the scents that these other lines came in were the same as the wax) and, SO many scent choices, why not give it a whirl?! Now, I am going on my third year as a fragrance expert working to create cozy and aromatic experiences with and for others!
